BOOK-IT HELPS THE BUSINESS GROUP SECTOR Women In Business (Northern Ireland) was set up in October 2002 by ten female entrepreneurs who believed there was a place for a dynamic business network to support the growing number of women who run their own businesses and work in existing organisations. Run by female entrepreneurs for women in business, the network has a large and diverse membership throughout Northern Ireland.
The network runs over 10 seminar or presentation events each year. All offer a great vehicle for networking
with like-minded women to increase business contacts and generate new business.
In July 2006 Women In Business became a Ltd company and appointed a board of directors. This was a major milestone and a turning point for the organisation. As part of this formalisation process Women In Business decided that it needed to improve it's systems and processes with aims which included
Women in Business wanted to work with a flexible and supportive organisation with a good track record and used to working with small to medium sized businesses. Early in 2007 Instinctive Systems seemed to meet all the requirements with it's personal knowledge of other similar customers and it's approach and understanding of requirements. It's products were easy to use and yet very powerful and very competitively priced compared to other products on the market. Instinctive Systems also came with a proven track record of having closely worked with web designers at Dreamscape Solutions in order to rebrand other customers in the membership and event booking sector through a complete back office and web site redesign rather than having to appoint two companies who had not worked together before and were unfamiliar with each other's products and services. As a result of the installation of the new Book-It software and new website Women In Business achieved all of it's key goals and more. It's initial membership of around 150 soon exceeded 250 with no additional staffing, the organisation became much more member centric rather than event centric with members in control of their own information and the Women In Business brand received a refreshing makeover. When asked about how she felt about Instinctive Systems involvement in this major turning point at Women In Business, Susan McCambridge, a director at Women In Business and major facilitator in this crucial development stage said
