Welcome to our latest edition of Book-It News in which we aim to
keep you updated with news about Book-It product developments as well as
other complimenting products and services. In this edition we bring you
news about the latest release of our
Book-It membership and contact
management software now not only incorporating event booking but also new facility booking features. |

We also bring you news of our forthcoming
Book-It Forum message board
software which has recently gone into beta test and is also in use on
our own website as another means of customers obtaining technical
support from us, customers providing feedback to us about our products
and services and as a means of customers talking amongst themselves not
only about our products and services but about other things that they
have in common with each other as they strive to administer their
organisation's members, contacts and events. We
also discuss new
leasing arrangements that can be utilised when buying
or upgrading your software to help spread the purchase cost.

Book-It News
Book-It version 4.0 Released
Book-It 4.0 was released at the end of March this year.
Book-It 4.0 brought with it many new features making it a major
improvement on Book-It 3.0 which was released over 3 years earlier.
Version 4.0 represents a major improvement for the Book-It family and is
now even more powerful, user friendly and robust. |

Thanks once again to
input from our existing clients and our own innovative approach to software
development we can now offer both new and existing customers a 21st Century
partner for their organisations' membership / contacts, events and resource
management needs. Not only does Book-It 4.0 feel and sound fresher it is packed
with new exciting features. These include:

e-mailing and e-mailing with attachments
- SMS
messaging
- Merchandising features
- and much more

Book-It Maintenance ReleasesA new public maintenance
release for Book-It 4.0 is now available in the form of Book-It 4.0b5. A
new maintenance release for Book-It 3.0 is also available in the form of
Book-It 3.0j1. Please note that this is likely to be the last maintenance
release for Book-It 3.0 as we concentrate our development efforts on our latest
Book-It 4.0 release. We urge all customers to
download
and install the latest maintenance release for their product and we would also
remind you that although these maintenance releases can currently be downloaded
by all customers, future releases will only be available FREE OF CHARGE to
support agreement holders and other customers will have to pay a small charge to
obtain further maintenance releases. We encourage all customers to take out a
support
agreement in order to get the most from their Book-It software and we have
agreements to suite all budgets.
Book-It Forum

Book-It Forum is a new product which, although it has
recently gone into beta testing is still very much a 'work
in progress'. This new software is a simple message board
system designed to integrate closely with our Book-It
On-Line module providing 'member or customer contact only'
access to message boards on your site. It will be a few more
months before we release this software to our own customers
for use on their own sites, however, it is already in use on
our own website if you would like a sneak preview. We have
implemented the software on our own site in order to assist
with customer support, to enable customers to chat with
other customers about topics that are of mutual interest and
as a means of feedback to ourselves. |

here, unfortunately you will not be able to post messages yet without a
customer login ID, however, we hope to bring guest logins and have a sample test
area soon to test the system thoroughly.Book-It On-Line
Having released a major new version of our Book-It
Office Software, a lot of our development now is concentrating on enhancing our
Book-It
On-Line module. Using
this module our customers are taking online bookings for events and providing online
event details and place availability. But did you know that the module offers even more
functionality? Users are now also taking advantage of the "members only"
access facility - providing their members with an enhanced online service. Web
page content can then be tailored, for example, by examining the member's
membership type. Existing customers can already see this working by logging into
our own website at

Book-It Leasing
Are you considering purchasing or upgrading Book-It at
the moment but are finding your budget a little too stretched? Well
we hope we have found a solution for you. Rather than purchase your
software outright, we have now teamed up with a company that
specialise in software leasing and can arrange for you to pay for
your software under leasing terms over a period of 1 to 4 years. Not
only does this mean that you get your software quicker but it also
means that you can do this without breaking the bank and get the
software working for you and saving you money before you have to pay
in full. Leasing also has tax advantages that can often go a long
way towards offsetting the interest paid under such arrangements.

Web Site Changes / Customer Login |

Our web site has recently had a complete makeover. We
hope that it now feels much more up to date and its quality feels much
more like the quality you are used to from our Book-It products. As well
as improving the look and content of all our pages, we have also added a
new customer login feature. Using this new feature existing customers
can login using their personal login details from any page on the site.
Once logged in you will be given access to your own personalised
customer page and other features. These pages and features are reserved
for customers only and cannot generally be accessed by members of the
public. |

Content can
also be varied depending upon the type of customer and what level of
support agreement you have with us for example. These new features have
been implemented directly from our
Book-It On-Line module and you can
implement similar features on your own website if you are using the
Book-It On-Line module also. You will need a customer login from
Instinctive Systems to login to the system. |

The most cost effective way to receive prompt support for your Book-It software is through a support agreement. Receive support when you need it to keep your Book-It
system running smoothly. Your agreement will not only cover all your support costs for the year in one simple payment
(or monthly if you prefer) but you will also get priority over other customers, access
to mobile support numbers (should office resources be limited thereby reducing waiting times) and you will be regularly asked to provide input to new product developments to ensure that we continue to
develop the systems you want to use. Pay support annually by cheque or quarterly or monthly by standing order. See
