With the release of Book-It 4.0 we have introduced powerful SMS capabilities to make communicating with your members and contacts even better. Our new SMS features provide you with similar facilities to letter and email previously available in Book-It, i.e. to communicate with a single contact or a selection of contacts with the minimum of effort and often very quickly. With SMS you can now communicate by sending instant text messages to your member and contact's mobile phones.

In order to provide this service to you we have partnered with TextAnywhere, a UK on-line SMS gateway provider who will intercept emails generated from Book-It and will pass them onto the relevant mobile phone operator to be sent as SMS messages. In order to trial this service you can sign up to the TextAnywhere service for FREE now and send up to 20 FREE SMS messages directly from Book-It. After that period you will need to either supply credit card details or sign up to a direct debit for further messages. Message credits can be bought from 10p per credit for small volumes to just over 4p for large volumes. Remember that as well as providing you with the ability to send SMS messages directly from your Book-It software, working with TextAnywhere you will also be able to upload data from Book-It to the TextOnLine area where you will have access to further features such as scheduled SMS and recurring SMS. You will also be able to check out reports to check on the status of any SMS messages that have been sent for example to check that they have been received by the recipient.
